SCOPE & SEQUENCES
Our decodable readers and passages follow two different Scopes and Sequences.
UFLI - Kindergarten Skills (57 books)
*All letter sounds A-Z, blends, FLSZ rule, digraphs, glued sounds, silent e, -es, -ed, -ing, compound words, and open/closed syllables.
UFLI - 1st Grade Skills (67 books)
* Short vowels review, FLSZ rule, digraphs, glued sounds, silent e, soft c & g, -es, -ed, -ing, compound words, open/closed syllables, -tch, -dge, Y as a vowel, -le, r-controlled vowels, long vowel teams, au/aw/augh, diphthongs, suffixes, prefixes, and doubling rule.
*Some skills overlap from K-1. The books are the same for those skills.
IMSE - Kindergarten (25 books)
*All letter sounds A-Z, long vowels (VC), and digraphs.
IMSE - 1st Grade (25 books)
* FLSZ rule, compound words, open/closed syllables, beginning and ending blends, y as a vowel, glued sounds, -tch, -dge, silent e, soft c & g, -ed, -s, -es, long vowel teams e, a, o, -ing, and contractions.
